Reimagining Resistance. A journey in creative disruption.

Discussing bacterial resistance has been a journey of rediscovering the fabric of life and its invisible interconnections. Over the past 20 years, there has been a shift away from the metaphor of war towards a more harmonious and balanced relationship with bacteria — a relationship that has been consolidated, yet is still evolving — known as the 'Metaphor of Dancing with Bacteria'. Yet, throughout this process, the incorporation of art, community empowerment, recognition of ecosystem health, promotion of a broader vision of health and involvement of children have formed the creative disruptions that have shaped this journey centred on bacterial resistance. 2026.
