Assembly of Invisibles: Dancing as Resistance
World Microbiome Day 2025
June 28th | International Online Dialogue
What if, instead of fighting bacteria, we learned to dance with them?
ReAct Latin America and the International Reimagining Resistance Network invite you to a unique global gathering that marks 20 years of exploration, creativity, science, and collective action around the microbiome. On June 28th, we celebrate World Microbiome Day with a powerful online dialogue:
Assembly of Invisibles: Dancing as Resistance
An international space to reimagine resistance through invisibility, joy, and microbial wisdom.
Voices from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, USA, India, Sweden, and Australia will come together to share how the metaphor of dancing with bacteria is transforming the way we think about medicine, agriculture, education, and community healing.
The webinar aims to understand and outline the practical implications of the Dancing with Bacteria metaphor beyond the world of medicine. It will explore themes such as “Dancing as Resistance”, “Making the Invisible Visible” through art, and how the dance metaphor can help transform food systems and environmental policies. The larger vision is a fundamental transformation in humanity’s understanding of its place in the web of life, recognizing that “We are not separate from microbes or Mother Earth”.
